Jim Colosimo was an Italian immigrant who came to Chicago and started a crime syndicate that owned the prostitution, racketeering, and gambling in Chicago. He owned many nightclubs in Chicago where all of the extremely wealthy and big names in Chicago hung out. He recruited Johnny Torrio and Al Capone to move to Chicago to help him run his business'. They came to Chicago and helped Jim run his business for a while until he refused to expand the company and that was a mistake. When Colosimo went to marry his second wife Torrio plotted to kill him. Jim Colosimo was killed in the lobby of his own night club. That was the end of Jim and the start of Johnny Torrio and Al Capone.
Johnny Torrio was recruited by Jim Colosimo to help run his crime syndicate out of Chicago. He took A Capone to help him. He was Al Capone's inspiration and also Capone's mentor. Capone had some issues like he was to quick to act and he needed help with strategy and how to deal with people. Torrio was recruited by Jim to be his right hand man in the gang Jim ran that did prostitution, racketeering, and gambling. He helped Jim run everything, and with prohibition that just became a law it was a perfect opportunity to expand the business and make more money. The only problem was that Jim Colosimo did not want to expand the business. He turned to Al Capone to set up the murder, and it was a success. After Jim was dead Johnny took over the reigns and started his business. One day he was coming home from a shopping trip and he was attacked and shot multiple times. Torrio survived and he decided to retire, putting Al Capone, his mentor, to become the boss.
